Twenty Fingers handmade papercut review & giveaway!

At the end of this month, me and man about townhouse will be celebrating 8 years of marriage. Not only that, but we’ll have spent a whopping 18 years together. Now, I know what your thinking – I don’t look old enough for that to be true. But it is, we were high school sweethearts!

If you too have been with your partner for longer than a life sentence, you’ll have no doubt experienced the problem I’m about to describe. In fact, it applies to your family and any friends you’ve known since the day dot as well. When it comes to special occasions, it almost impossible to think of an original gift. You’ve already bought them every gift you could conceivably think of!

Or have you?

Twenty Fingers are small family run company that specialise in beautiful handcrafted framed papercuts. They offer papercuts for weddings, new baby’s, family trees and even fathers day!

So when Twenty Fingers kindly got in touch to see if I’d like to review one of their personalised papercuts, I thought hell yes I would. And also, hmmm this would make an ideal anniversary gift – what fantastic timing.

I’m going to tell you all about what I thought about my personalised papercut in just a tick and how you can win one! First let’s take sneak peek…

What I thought about Twenty Fingers papercut

On the Twenty Fingers website, you can choose from lots of amazing options for all kinds of occasions. Plus, you can pick from several different frame colours and lots of paper colour too, so you can easily match it to your decor. There is an extensive gallery, so you can take a look at the various frame and paper combinations easily before making a decision.

Of all the options, I decided that the family tree was my favourite and would be perfect for us. I knew my son would be really excited to see his name included too, as he’s just learning to read. After looking through the gallery I decided to opt for a white frame and smoke paper.

I’m a stickler for an easy to navigate website, and thankfully I found it incredibly simple and quick to place my order. In fact in my haste I forgot to mention in the notes section a few additional requests to make our papercut extra special.

Luckily it was no problem at all, because I emailed Twenty Fingers with the details I’d forgotten to include and they were incredibly helpful. I think perhaps my favourite thing about the papercuts is that Twenty Fingers really go the extra mile to make them unique for every customer.

From the gallery I noticed that some of the trees had extra little details such as pets. Our cats are such an important part of our family and it was so nice to be able to include them! Especially our cat Oscar who sadly died last year, it’s such a lovely way to commemorate him.

Delivery

The papercut arrived quickly. On their website they state that turn around time is usually 3-5 days, so if you are in need of a gift in a hurry, it’s absolutely ideal! It arrived safe and sound wrapped in plenty of bubble wrap, much to the delight of my son who enjoyed popping it.

So let’s take a closer look shall we?

As you’ll see from my photos, the papercut is absolutely stunning. The oak tree design is really beautiful and so intricate, I can barely believe it’s handmade. The colours were exactly as they appeared on the website too, as it’s often a little hard to tell.

I was really impressed by the quality of the frame and paper used too. The glass was absolutely flawless, not a finger print in sight. Needless to say man about townhouse was really made up with his early anniversary ‘gift’.

As a home accessories addict we have a fair few in our house, but nothing as special as this.

If you’re looking for a unique, personalised gift that will be treasured for years to come, a papercut from Twenty Fingers ticks all the boxes. Papercuts start from £49 and in my opinion make a really special gift.
