Loving this lately: October favourites

October Favourites - Girl about townhouseThese are a few of my favourite things from the month of October. I absolutely love hearing peoples recommendations and hopefully you do too.  So every month I’ll be letting you know all about what’s been floating my boat lately. You know, those things that have made my month just that little bit brighter.

So, without further ado….

Yoga with Adriene

I stumbled across this youtube channel when I was looking for relief for back pain and now I’m addicted! It’s so relaxing. Adriene has a wealth of yoga videos to suit every level of ability, amount of time you have available and to help with pain, anxiety and issues you may be having. She currently has almost 1.7 million subscribers to her youtube channel, so clearly I’m not the only one  who thinks she’s bloody awesome!

If you’re fairly new to yoga I really recommend trying the 30 day yoga camp, my skills and flexibility really improved quickly practising every day. Plus, you can do it in the comfort of your own home, at a time that suits you and best of all it’s free.

Modern Garden magazine

Let’s be clear, I’m no gardener! Sure, I like to look at pretty gardens, but when it comes to my own I – absolutely clueless.

Enter Modern Gardens Magazine.

It’s written especially for people like me, who don’t have lots of garden knowledge or hours to spend in the garden. It’s packed full with dreamy garden images, DIY ideas, garden makeovers and what you should be doing in your garden next month. I’ve learnt so much and my garden has been absolutely transformed this summer. It’s £3.99 per month, but you can subscribe and it almost halves the cost £25 for 12 issues. Plus, you have the added convenience of it plopping through your letterbox every month. Happy days!

Matalan Norwegian Woodfire candle

I really like this candle because it’s Wintery without going down the traditional cinnamon, orange, christmas tree route. I really wish that we had a fireplace and if you light this candle and close your eyes, it’s almost like we do. It smells like you’re sitting in front crackling log fire, surrounded by a pine forest. I love the marble effect tin too.

Dunelm Copper Lantern

I’ve been on the hunt for a lovely lantern to sit in my bay window for sometime now. It works perfectly with the colour scheme in my lounge, grey, cream and copper. It’s large enough to fit 3 medium width candles and I know it’s going to be absolutely perfect for cosy Autumn evenings. It’s a little on the flimsy side, but I love the way it looks and it fits perfectly into my traditional with a modern twist decor. It would also look great filled with some battery operated fairy lights or some succulents.

Aldi Copper star

I couldn’t resist this light up star. I love this lighting trend and it adds a pop of something special on my bookcase. It’s quite industrial looking and it has almost a rust effect. For the price, you really can’t wrong. In fact, Aldi is really one to watch when comes to great value homewares. They do rotate their stock quickly though, so unfortunately the stars are no longer online.

Free prints app

This free app is perfect if you always mean to get your photos printed and never quite get around to it. You get 45 6×4 free prints every month and just have to pay for postage which is £3.99. It means I can regularly update our photo frames, create photo albums and scrapbooks. And of course give lots to grandparents.

Lean in 15

Without wishing to jump on the Joe Wicks bandwagon, this book is bloody brilliant. Culinary expertise it is not, but if you want simple, healthy and super quick dinner ideas, it’s great. It’s my go to book for week night dinners and I really recommend the cheesy chorizo chicken and spinach, tuna steak with salsa and Turkey meatballs with feta. Yum! Let me know if you’d be interested in me cooking and posting some of the recipes on the blog.

Well that just about wraps up what I’ve been loving this October, now I want to know what you’re loving.

C’mon I love to chat, tell me in the comments below please : )
